Jim & Sybil Eberhard
Jim Eberhard grew up in Lawrence Kansas.He attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri and got involved serving at Cherry Street through the Bus ministry. After Graduating he was brought on staff and served for 25 years at Cherry Street Baptist Church as the Children's and Bus ministry pastor. He had lead the missions trips around the world and always knew God was calling him to missions one day. In June of 2009 He moved his family to Kenya after spending the 2 years previous raising support. He now serves in Kenya as a Baptist Bible Fellowship Missionary through church planting and teaching in the Local Baptist Bible College of Nairobi.
Sybil Eberhard grew up in Springfield, Missouri and served faithful in her local church. After marrying Jim she served at Cherry Street through teaching the 4 year olds class and driving and managing one of the bus routes. She is now serving in Kenya alongside Jim through church planting and also by teaching Art and various other subjects at an orphanage known as Rehema Boys Home.
Children: Malea, Larissa & Javan
Jim and Sybil have three children: Malea, Larissa and Javan. They are all married and serving faithfully in their current stages in life. Malea and her husband David Lusa are serving as missionaries in Slovenia. Larissa and her husband Blake Compton are serving in Springfield at their local church, Connect Church and raising their daughter Vada, and expecting another. Javan and his wife Kelli Eberhard are serving in their local church in Springfield, Missouri, Emmaus and through their nonprofit The Purpose Pursuit.
